Ambassador Wei Hongtian attended the Commencement of the Distribution of the Low-Income Housing Units
On March 22, 2024, the commencement of the distribution of the China-Aided Phase II Low-Income Housing units was held in Corinth, St. David's. H.E. Ambassador Wei Hongtian, together with Hon. Dickon Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada, Hon. Andy Williams, Minister for Mobilisation, Implementation and Transformation, Mr. Finley Jeffrey, Permanent Secretary with responsibility for Housing and Community Development, General Manager of the Housing Authority of Grenada, Government officials, recipients of the housing units, community representatives, media personnel were present.
Amb. Wei promised China’s continued support to Grenada, applauded the commencement of the distribution, and urged the homeowners to cherish their new homeland and maintain well all the facilities. Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell extended heartfelt thanks for China’s generous assistance and promised that the Grenadian Government would build more affordable housing to the people.
