On October 15, 2025, H.E. Yang Shu, New Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Dennis Cornwall, Minister for Finance of Grenada, and exchanged views on China-Grenada friendly relations and practical cooperation.

Ambassador Yang stated that since the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Grenada in 2005, the two countries had achieved fruitful results in cooperation within various fields. China is willing to promote exchanges between the governments and localities of the two countries on the basis of mutual respect and carry out more cooperation with Grenada in the fields of infrastructure, people’s livelihood and other fields, to enhance bilateral relations and friendship between the two peoples.

Hon. Cornwall welcomed Amb. Yang to Grenada and thanked China for its generous financial support, technical training and other forms of support. He spoke highly of China’s economic development and infrastructure construction, and hoped that China will help Grenada upgrade its roads, bridges, ports and other infrastructure to better integrate the island’s resources and benefit the people.
